It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 7th international conference on TEACHING TRANSLATION AND INTERPRETING (TTI 7), organised by the Department of Translation Studies and Language Pedagogy at the University of Lodz. The conference will take place in late 2024.

Teaching Translation and Interpreting 7 - main themes


The conference draws on the success of five previous TTI conferences, held in April 2008 and 2009, October 2011, November 2014, September 2017 and September 2019 where it was unanimously decided that meetings devoted to theoretical and practical aspects of translator training, translation didactics and translation curricula are a necessity.
The conference will be held at the Faculty of Philology, 171/173 Pomorska Street, Lodz, Poland.


The topics of the conference include, but are not limited to, the following:
• translator training
• translation curricula
• teaching, learning and training interpreting
• teaching, learning and training audiovisual translation
• translator training in the academia
• translation competence
• translator expertise
• competencies of professional translator trainers
• translation as a profession
• the use of computer in translation education
• interdisciplinary approaches to translation education

CONFERENCE FEE

The cost of conference registration is EUR .

Conference participation is subsidised for participants from Poland. The conference fee for Polish participants (working in Poland only) is PLN .

In case of co-authored presentations with both authors present each person is required to pay the conference fee.

The conference fee includes a welcome conference pack, book of abstracts, lunches, coffee breaks, participation in all sessions, certificate of attendance, special rates for selected hotels, review and publication procedures.

The price is exclusive of the conference dinner on Friday evening which can be purchased separately.

Cash payment on arrival incurs a 10% cash-handling fee .

Participants who need to receive the VAT invoice are kindly requested to GIVE THE FULL NAME OF THE UNIVERSITY/INSTITUTION THAT IS SUPPOSED TO RECEIVE THE VAT INVOICEand send us your payment confirmation within 7 days of making the payment.
